Germany is widely acknowledged as the spiritual home of modern swinging.
So it’s no surprise that the capital, Berlin, has grown into one of Europe’s liveliest swinger scenes. From glitzy erotic spas to techno-fuelled fetish orgies, the city serves up a buffet of hedonism that will appeal to anybody dipping their toes in The Lifestyle – be they experienced or new.
Below, you’ll find our most up-to-date guide to Berlin’s best swinger clubs and events… all of them currently active, verified, and ready for your next RSVP.
What Are The Best Swinger Clubs In Berlin?
It’s safe to say, Berlin’s swinging scene has bounced back from Covid.
According to JoyClub’s recent data, Germany saw nearly 8% more sex parties than in the previous year, with one in three attendees being first-timers.
Yes, major clubs like Berghain, Tresor and KitKat are all going strong… but the swinging scene extends beyond the capital’s nightclubs. There are dozens of local parties at private apartments and houses, with everything from fetish gangbangs to kinky wife-swapping.
We’ll be including a few smaller more intimate venues in our list below.
1. Insomnia Berlin
Alt-Tempelhof 17-19, 12099 Berlin
https://www.insomnia-berlin.de
But, of course… we have to start by tipping our hat to Berlin’s legendary kink clubs. And Insomnia is one of the most famous in the world.
Asking its guests to be libidinous, the iconic Club Insomnia is situated south of the city in the Tempelhof district.
This place attracts a diverse range of guests, known as a hedonistic hotspot for swingers, party animals and the curious libertines of Berlin (and beyond!).
More than just a sex club, it’s a social institution, complete with a bar, dancefloor, lounge area, and dedicated playrooms spread across multiple levels. On weekends, Insomnia transforms into a full-blown erotic rave, often running well past dawn with a soundtrack of deep techno, heavy breathing, and the occasional satisfied moan.
You’ll see couples in latex, singles in masks, dominatrixes sipping cocktails, and total newbies clutching their locker keys like life jackets. Yep, this place is very popular with inquisitive but unsuspecting tourists!
Sundays tend to be the dedicated night for swinging but check the website for details of the current calendar. Entrance is from 7pm to 2am. Prices for couples usually start around €39-49, but single men pay a premium to keep things balanced (if they are accepted at all).
The club reminds guests that the Sunday night party is for active people looking for sex.
In other words, no time wasters please!
2. KitKat Club
Köpenicker Straße 76, 10179 Berlin
You knew it was coming, right?
If Insomnia is Berlin’s warm-up act, KitKat is the full-body climax. It’s a techno-fuelled temple of filth and freedom that’s somehow still going strong after three decades of sweat, strobes, and semi-nudity.
Now, full disclosure: KitKat isn’t strictly a swinger club. It’s far too big to be classified as one, anyway.
It’s more of a sex-positive mega-party where dancing, BDSM, exhibitionism, and wild group sessions coexist in glorious, gooey harmony.
But if you’re into swinging, threesomes, voyeurism, or just strutting around bollock-naked with 1,000 other open-minded degenerates… yeah, KitKat absolutely deserves a spot on this list. It’s one of the most famous clubs in Germany.
And just in case you were wondering, yes, they do allow full sex inside the venue. It even happens on the dancefloor!
The venue itself is huge with several dancefloors, chillout lounges, dark corners, mattresses, bondage gear, a pool, and a basement play area (where most of the sex happens, if it hasn’t already spilled onto the dancefloor). In the play area, there’s a distinct whiff of regret, bodily fluids and lube in equal measure.
Events happen Wednesday to Sunday, but Friday and Saturday nights are peak KitKat. The line often wraps around the block by midnight (see the clip above).
3. Swingeroase Zwiespalt
Oberlandstraße 1, 12099 Berlin
https://www.swingeroase-zwiespalt.de
Tucked down in Tempelhof, just a short Uber from Insomnia (if you fancy a wild double-header), Swingeroase Zwiespalt is a bit of an oddball.
It’s one of the only clubs in Berlin open every day, with early opening hours and a full event calendar that includes things like sausage brunches, foam parties, and the occasional Gangbang Wednesday.
Yep, last we checked… Wednesday is Herrenüberschuss-Tag, aka “Men Surplus Day.”
You know what that means! Single gents queue up like they’re waiting for concert tickets, while the lucky ladies get to be centre stage.
The club itself has plenty of playrooms, both public and private, as well as a whirlpool and spa, plus fetish and BDSM zones, dark rooms and party areas. It’s all very vintage erotic lounge meets 90s swingers sauna.
That ties into the crowd, too. The demographic here skews much older… lots of over-40s, some 50s and 60s, often local Berliners who’ve been swinging since before Tinder was a thing.
If you’re looking for a more ‘traditional’ entry to the Berlin Lifestyle, this is a good choice.
4. Avarus Berlin
Seestraße 50, 13347 Berlin
Catering for those with less ‘clubby’ style tastes, Avarus has a more grown-up ambience.
Quietly nestled in a discreet penthouse in Wedding, the venue brands itself as a stylish wellness lounge for the erotically inclined… or as one reviewer put it, “like a sex club for grown-ups who moisturise.”
This isn’t a techno-rave meat market. It’s a towel-clad, softly-lit swinger haven with a Roman steam bath, a bubbling whirlpool, a Finnish sauna, and a full blown buffet for the wind-down.
With red and black leather seating, erotic ambient lighting and modern play equipment, Avarus has a distinctly upmarket vibe. The venue’s layout encourages both mingling and mischief, with chill-out zones, well-maintained playrooms, and lockers stocked with towels and robes.
In other words: You’re might likely to find couples sipping wine in a corner than roaming the dancefloor in gimp masks. This is no KitKat or Insomnia.
They run regular events that are slightly quirky such as the Young Scientists night – a practical study in the field of research or Chocolate Sunday – an experimentation with liquid chocolate on the naked body.
There’s also Orgasmusnacht – inviting adventurous ladies to enjoy as many partners as they can handle (with respectful, pre-approved gents).
Prices vary depending on the night with discounts being available with reservations or being an early bird (arriving in the first hour of opening). Couples can expect to pay around €69–79.
5. Club Culture Houze
Görlitzer Str. 71, 10997 Berlin
https://www.club-culture-houze.de/
The Club Culture House caters for all groups of swingers including gay, fetish, bi and kinky. And, if we had to guess, this might just be the kinkiest basement in all of Berlin.
They run regular events which change throughout the year. It’s a hybrid of cruise bar, BDSM dungeon, queer-friendly pansexual playground, and casual Berlin dive….depending on the night.
The most relevant event for swingers would have to be Adam & Eve Bi-Night, held every Wednesday. It’s billed as “The bi-sex party for gay, lesbian, straight, trans, agender and just sexy, great people.“
The venue is arranged over two floors and features several play areas and a relaxed bar. Background music is piped throughout and is usually electronic or house. There is a cinema on site which makes for a very popular play room. The club is equipped with condoms, lubricants and sex toys in addition to the whips, ropes and swings available in their BDSM areas.
While Club Culture is most closely associated with Berlin’s cruising scene, it has also become known as something of a leather-filled paradise for Berlin swingers.
One for your kinky bucket list!
6. Bar Möchtegern
Leibnizstraße 87, 10625 Berlin
This is a lower key affair on the eye-popping scale, but still a pretty kinky night out.
Tucked away in the relatively upmarket borough of Charlottenburg, we’d say Möchtegern is the opposite of your sweaty techno sex dungeons.
There’s no pounding bassline, no dress code gestapo, and no frantic queue outside the door. Instead, you’ll find a softly-lit lounge bar with comfy seating, reasonably priced drinks, and a back room setup that’s more casual orgy than anything else.
The first half of the evening usually looks and feels like a normal Berlin club: small talk, flirty glances, maybe a couple warming up with a hand under the table. As the drinks flow and the mood shifts, people migrate to the back where you’ll find all kinds of kinky accessories (see above).
It’s ideal for couples dipping their toes into the scene or veterans who can’t be arsed dressing up like cyberpunks every Saturday.
But it comes with the downside (or upside) that you do get a lot of single guys entering the venue, clearly willing to pay a premium (up to €78 on weekends!) for a slice of the action.
This is a bit of a turn-off to some couples.
7. Tempeloase
Ruhlsdorfer Weg 20, 14979 Großbeeren
https://www.joyclub.de/club/786.tempeloase_berlin.html
We couldn’t find a dedicated website for Tempeloase, but the club maintains an active presence on JoyClub, which is basically Swingers Central in Germany.
If you’re in the lifestyle, you’re on Joy… and Tempeloase, just south of Berlin, is one of the better-reviewed clubs on there.
They actually run a shuttle on Friday and Saturday from the S-Bahn station Teltow Stadt, Regional Bahnhof Teltow and most surrounding hotels. Useful since the actual location is quite out of the way.
Still, it’s hugely popular with Berliners… especially those who want a more intimate atmosphere without the sensory overload of the city’s wilder venues.
The regular crowd tends to be couples aged 30–60, with some solo ladies, and a very controlled number of single men (who must pre-register and are often vetted via JoyClub).
Theme nights are a big draw here:
- Lustvolle Paare (“Lustful Couples”)
- Heiß & Feucht (“Hot & Wet”) spa nights
- Frei-von-Stoff naked parties
- Orgiastische Nächte (do we really need to translate that?!)
Check the JoyClub calendar to RSVP since most nights require registration. Couples pay around €60–75.
