Cam Sites

Updated on:

If you’ve never visited a cam site before, here’s the basic idea: performers (cam models or cam girls) broadcast live video streams from their homes or studios while interacting with viewers in real-time.

The shows have a distinctly sexual flavour, with most (but not all) offering nudity or some form of sexual content. Some models offer free chat rooms with tipping-based interactions, while others work in private shows selling one-to-one access via video chat.

Despite being a global industry, the camming market is highly fragmented, with certain platforms dominating in different regions.

BongaCams is massive in Europe, while sites like Chaturbate and MyFreeCams tend to attract larger American audiences. As we’ll see below, there are pros and cons to the major European cam sites… for both sex workers and viewers alike.

How Cam Shows Became The Hottest Trend in Sex Work

Cam sites in Europe cover image

Since we launched Euro Sex Scene, we’ve been blown away by the dramatic rise of cam modelling as a viable option for sex workers. It’s not just a side income anymore. For many girls (and guys), the industry provides a significant full-time living.

Camming lets performers earn money independently, set their own schedules, and stream live on their terms. Unlike traditional adult work, cam models don’t have to meet clients in person. We’ve reached a tipping point where many escorts actually prefer to work online instead!

WFH Gone Crazy!

This industry saw a huge boom during the Covid-19 pandemic when lockdowns pushed both performers and customers online.

With strip clubs and in-person escorting on pause, many sex workers transitioned to camming, while a wave of new creators — often with no prior industry experience — turned to live streaming for income.

Even after pandemic restrictions lifted, the demand for cam content has remained incredibly robust.

The combination of interactive experiences, instant monetization, and a growing acceptance of online sex work has cemented camming as a major pillar of the adult industry in Europe and beyond.

What Are The Major European Cam Sites?

It’s rare to think of cam platforms as being European, American or belonging to any particular country.

The make-up of the models and the viewing audience is generally what defines how ‘European’ a site feels. But with that said, some cam sites have a definitive advantage in the European market. Not least because they are based there and have built up a formidable database of local performers.

Here are Europe’s largest cam site operators:

LiveJasmin (Hungary)

https://livejasmin.com

LiveJasmin

The famous red splash of LiveJasmin, founded in 2001 by Hungarian entrepreneur György Gattyán, is a cornerstone of Europe’s cam industry. It’s the largest ‘premium’ cam site in the world.

Gattyán’s net worth of €600 million underscores the platform’s profitability, which pioneered revenue-sharing models (30%–60% for creators) and geo-blocking tools to protect performers’ privacy.

Its corporate structure remains rooted in Hungary, with operational hubs in Cyprus and Malta for tax efficiency. LiveJasmin has a clear emphasis on high-production studios, as opposed to the more amateur-focused mega platforms in the United States.

LiveJasmin sets the gold standard for what it does best: high-quality, private cam shows with seasoned performers, all streamed in sleek HD.

There are no free chats, minimal tip-driven games, and certainly no glimpses of nudity without payment (or the model will be booted fast).

This platform is strictly pay-to-play, catering to clients who want one-on-one video chat.

BongaCams (Netherlands)

https://bongacams.com

Bonga Cams (De)

Operated by Bonga BV, this Amsterdam-based platform dominates the Dutch and Eastern European markets.

Launched in 2012, it quickly gained traction with a series of smart acquisitions (including RusCams.com). By 2015, BongaCams was among the top 100 most visited websites globally according to Alexa rankings. It has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality freemium cam shows across Europe, even briefly holding the title of the most-visited cam site in the world during the height of the Covid pandemic.

BongaCams combines freemium access with tiered subscriptions, leveraging the Netherlands’ liberal digital laws to host explicit content.

Approximately 40% of its performers are from Romania and Ukraine, and most of the viewers come from Germany and France.

IMLive (Cyprus)

https://imlive.com

Owned by Together Networks Holdings, IMLive uses Cyprus’s EU membership and low corporate tax rates to serve as a gateway between European and Middle Eastern markets.

The platform’s focus on Arab-speaking models from North Africa has made it a hub for diaspora communities in Europe.

As it stands, IMLive works for those who want affordable private sessions (around $2 per minute), but for most users looking for European performers, it lacks the weighty appeal of a Bonga or LiveJasmin.

Smaller Platforms With Niche Appeal

While the major platforms above do a good job of bringing together performers from all across Europe, the following sites have specialist appeal in select European markets.

XLoveCam and XCams (France)

XCams

Both platforms operate under the French parent company XLove Group, which specializes in couple-oriented content and interactive sex toys.

XCams, launched in 2015, targets Francophone audiences in Belgium and Switzerland, while XLoveCam expands into Southern Europe through partnerships with Italian and Spanish studios.

The main appeal of these platforms is the cheap private shows combined with a number of models who will actually broadcast in French, Dutch, German or Spanish. As opposed to just broken English.

Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby (Germany)

Visit-X specializes in BDSM and fetish content, complying with Germany’s strict age verification laws. There is no free content here; the whole site is paywalled and it’s strictly pay-to-view.

MyDirtyHobby, operated by MG Media, blends amateur uploads with live shows. Similar to Visit-X, there’s a lack of free shows. The models deal mostly in private one-to-one shows.

Both platforms draw 70% of their traffic from German-speaking countries.

We have a separate guide to German cam sites, which remains one of the largest markets in the EU.

Cherry TV (Unconfirmed – Likely European)

Though ownership details are sparse, Cherry TV’s multilingual support (German, French, Spanish) and GDPR compliance suggest European roots.

In its launch year, Cherry.tv picked up awards from AW and YNOT for its emergence in the industry. While it hasn’t won anything since, competing with the biggest names this early on is no small feat.

One of its key selling points is gamification. Models level up, users earn incentives for engagement, and the whole experience is designed to feel more interactive and modern compared to older, more traditional cam sites.

The platform’s studio partnerships in Poland and Czech Republic suggest that it runs off mostly EU-based model recruitment, but details are sketchy: we can’t say for certain that it’s actually European-based.

International Platforms With European Models

Even though Europe has its own powerhouse cam sites, many European models and viewers still find international platforms appealing, and when you look at the numbers… it’s easy to see why.

Sites like Chaturbate, Streamate, and CamSoda may be American-owned and tipping-driven, but they attract massive global audiences, including a significant European user base.

For models, these platforms offer higher traffic, better monetization options, and exposure to wealthier North American clientele who are accustomed to generous tipping. Europeans are famously stingy and poorly received by the cam girl community (lol).

For us viewers, international cam sites bring together a huge variety of performers, including plenty of European models who prefer working on sites with higher earning potential and built-in engagement tools.

Here are the major players looking to carve a slice of the European market:

StripChat (United States)

https://stripchat.com

StripChat

Headquartered in Delaware, StripChat has aggressively targeted European markets through localized campaigns, including its WTF-inducing $200 million bid to rename Everton FC’s stadium to “Stripchat Sustainability Stadium”. 😂

The platform’s lax content moderation and AI-driven recommendations appeal to Eastern European performers, who make up around 55% of its model base.

However, its controversial contract terms —which claim perpetual ownership of performers’ content —have sparked legal debates in the EU.

Purely from a viewing perspective, StripChat is gold. It was one of the main beneficiaries of the Covid boom, growing at a rapid rate to become the most-visited cam site in the world. A title it continues to trade back and forth with Yank-rival, Chaturbate (see below).

Chaturbate (United States)

https://chaturbate.com

Chaturbate

Owned by Multi Media LLC, Chaturbate’s token-based system and open API enable third-party app integrations, making it a favorite among tech-savvy European models.

The site needs no introduction with seasoned cam site veterans. It’s arguably the most famous cam site in the world, proof in the pudding that Chat and Masturbation is a global match made in heaven.

Despite U.S. ownership, 32% of its traffic originates from France, Italy, and Spain.

The sheer size of the site means that while the European coverage may be a minority, the number of European cam girls broadcasting here still vastly outnumbers most native Euro cam platforms.

CamSoda (United States)

https://camsoda.com

Atlanta-based CamSoda differentiates itself through wild, unhinged PR drives and branded sex toys. Its “CamSoda Ventures” program funds European creators, leveraging influencer marketing on TikTok and Instagram to attract Gen Z audiences.

It certainly has a modern look — like the jazzier younger cousin of Chaturbate.

One of CamSoda’s strongest features is its excellent sex toy integration, allowing full interactive shows with models at surprisingly low costs. The site also pioneered innovations like VR cams (though they’ve since been discontinued).

MyFreeCams (United States)

https://myfreecams.com

MyFreeCams homepage

A pioneer of the freemium model, US-based MyFreeCams (MFC) retains a loyal following in the lucrative UK cams market.

Its “Queen of the Month” contests reward top-earning European models with promotional boosts.

For many years, MFC was the dominant free cam site platform. More recently, it has been overtaken by Chaturbate, Bonga Cams and StripChat, but it still holds a dedicated roster of models, including several top European cam girls.

Cam4 (United States)

https://cam4.com

Cam4

Originally Czech-owned, Cam4 was acquired by U.S.-based Granity Entertainment in 2021.

The platform’s LGBTQ+-friendly rooms and pride events remain popular in Spain and the Netherlands.

While most cam sites tend to focus on female performers, Cam4 stands out as one of the best platforms for male cam models in Europe.

Unlike many competitors, which have limited visibility and lower traffic for male performers, Cam4 puts them front and centre. The platform is known for its gritty, raw, amateur feel.

Despite new US-ownership, Cam4 is the most popular choice for European gay and bisexual audiences.

Flirt4Free and Streamate (United States)

Both platforms, operated from California, skip the freemium thrills of Chaturbate and MFC in favour of premium private shows. They are similar to LiveJasmin in that they both target higher-value customers willing to pay for one-on-one time.

Streamate’s “Euro Zone” filters connect users with models from specific EU countries, while Flirt4Free hosts annual expos in Barcelona and Berlin.
