Prostitution Laws in Bratislava
Prostitution is legal in Slovakia and you can both sell and buy sex in Bratislava. However, the act of profiteering from another person’s sexual services is illegal which means that you won’t find any ‘official’ brothels in the city. It is also illegal for prostitutes to solicit business on the streets.
Sex and erotic services can be found for sale via an escort or call girl as well as via some massage parlours and strip clubs.
The average price of a full service with a prostitute in Bratislava is around €40 to €60 although the price for an hour with an escort can be significantly more depending on the calibre of woman that you engage.

Brothels
Brothers are illegal in Slovakia and you won’t find any ‘official’ bordellos or sauna clubs that offer full sexual services in this way.

The latter are illegal under Slovakian law which does mean they tend to change location quite frequently to avoid detection. Some taxi drivers and night club owners may offer to take you to one of these venues but it is not recommended that you do so due to both the illegal status and the danger of falling victim to a scam.
Swingers Clubs
Swinging is not huge in Slovakia and there is only one club close to the city that provides an experience like those you might find in other libertine clubs of Europe.

Kavecko

Located around an hour’s drive east of the city, you can find the rurally located Kavecko, an ‘amateur’s’ club which is open for couples, single men and single women.
Secluded and private and purpose fitted for swingers, the venue is popular with Slovaks from the city and foreign visitors.
Arranged over 500 sq m, facilities at Kavecko include:

Entrance to the club is €25 per person with overnight accommodation also being available at a cost of €25 per person which includes breakfast. The club is also available to rent privately.
Events are held infrequently but there is usually at least one party per month on either a Friday or Saturday night from 7.00pm (see website for details).
BDSM Clubs
BDSM isn’t huge in Slovakia when you compare Bratislava to countries like Germany, the Netherlands or Switzerland. There is a small community that holds regular meetings around the city and there are also some events that are suitable for fet fans held by Dark Play Party.

Dark Play Party

The Dark Play Party organises BDSM events in the capital city on an irregular basis but they are not to be missed if you are in Bratislava when they are running.
The September 2019 Volume 4 party will be another well-attended event with tickets being priced at €25 (on the door) or €17 (in advance).
Attendance is by invitation only so you need to make contact with the organisers to get involved with the community prior to booking tickets.
Parties include well equipped play rooms, fetish themed performances and SM workshops. At the next event there will also be dark music and a human zoo in addition to live shows.
Erotic Massage Parlours
The capital city has quite a few options when it comes to erotic massage parlours with most offering tantric body rubs. A word of warning before setting foot in a strip club in Bratislava; the drinks don’t come cheap and you can expect to be paying at least €10. Angel’s Cabaret Club

One of the city’s best known and more upmarket strip clubs, Angel’s offers a friendly and relaxed environment to enjoy topless and nude dancing.
They aren’t the cheapest venue on the list (either the drinks or the private dances) but they are one of the best for the quality of entertainment they provide; however, the club is only really intended for the guys and not the ladies. This can be seen in the admission charges or €5 for men and €35 for women. The reason? Apparently the club management have had problems with drunk hen parties so can justify their discrimination on this basis. The cynical would read more into this in that the club is intended to be a gentleman’s venue only.
On quiet nights, the dancers can come across quite pushy and will certainly try and get you to spend some cash but Fridays and Saturdays this is less of a problem.
Overall, it’s a good club with some beautiful and talented strippers that are known to work pretty hard for their money.

Messalina

Having been operating for more than 20 years (opened in 1995), the Messalina is one of Bratislava’s top strip club destinations…particularly for tourists rather than locals. The main reason for this is that admission is free which means that plenty of stag parties start here so early evenings do tend to be better attended than later on.
Part of this is also due to the extra services they offer in private rooms. From a menu and choice of ladies, guests can choose any of the following massage/dance offerings.

Babylon Night Club

The largest erotic salon in Bratislava, Babylon has a bit of a reputation for being one of the more luxurious strip clubs in the city. This means they are not the cheapest either but it does mean that they pay their girls well. The result is that they also employ some of the finest looking women in town. And, there are usually a good ten or more women to choose from.
As far as the space goes, it’s a typical night club crossed with a gentleman’s club so expect the traditional leather Chesterfields but amid neon lights and a dark red interior. Another gentleman’s club that charges just €5 for entry for the fellas but where women must pay €35 to get in. This kind of policy ensures that the club remains almost closed to outside female prying eyes and where the guys can misbehave.
It’s an underground kind of strip club that has more of a cavern feel than clubs like Bablyon or Angel’s but this does mean the atmosphere is quite intimate even on the nights when the house isn’t full. You certainly get up close and personal to the action on stage. If this isn’t close enough then you can always pay to be joined by the girl(s) of your choice but, be warned, this will cost you plenty.
As with other clubs in the city, there are also opportunities for private encounters here at Devil’s.

And finally, with all these ‘gentleman’s’ clubs there’s one for the women.

A modern club that’s popular with hen parties, there is a full bar and comfortable seating area from which to enjoy the show.
The club is not open as frequently as its all-female equivalent strip clubs but you can contact the organisers for details of the next events or to arrange a booking.

Prior to communist Slovakia in the post-war years, Bratislava had its own red-light district called Vydrica. The area was demolished by the Soviet regime and there has been no replacement area since the collapse of communism in 1989.
As a result, street prostitution in the city is not condensed into any one single area and, despite the act of soliciting being illegal, you will still see sex for sale on the streets of Bratislava. It is also common for hookers to solicit clients from truck stops and commuter highways outside of the city that are well used by Austrian and Hungarian visitors to Slovakia.
