Swinging in Switzerland: A Complete Guide

Want to know more about swinging in Switzerland?

Known worldwide for being a country with stable politics and famous for its banks, cheese and chocolate, Switzerland is a beautiful and mountainous country. It cuts a famous image with its lakes, ski resorts and traditional villages and libertinism is not what most people would think of when visiting this European nation. Swinging, however, is very popular both as a tourist attraction and a domestic pastime. The country has dozens of large libertine clubs and between them offer a huge community of couples to partner swap with.

In this feature, we give you a club by club guide of all the best swinging venues in Switzerland; from saunas and spas to nightclubs and bars. We also give you some additional resources for those of you interested in FKK clubs or BDSM venues plus some swinging communities and groups that can help you network before and after your date with Swiss libertinism.

Swingers Clubs in Switzerland

There are a few dozen regular clubs in Switzerland that are either couples only or offer couples nights for swingers. We’ve selected the best of these and provided the basic details of facilities, events, prices and opening times.

Please note that all prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and are correct as at the time of our reviews (September 2019).

We should point out that whilst most of the clubs have English speakers, the main languages spoken in Switzerland are French and German so a basic knowledge of either of these can help an evening along more smoothly.

Located in downtown Geneva, Bains De L’Est has been in operation since 1999 and offers a very professional and modern setting for swingers in Switzerland.

Like many European libertine spas, the Bains De L’Est, the club is run like a wellness centre and offers a range of leisure facilities in addition to group and private play areas. This particular venue has the largest Jacuzzi in the country for a swingers club as well as steam rooms, ice showers and a sauna.

As for the play zones, you can expect to find open, closed and peephole cabins, gloryholes and slings as well as a bar, TV saloon lounge and smoking room. There is also a room dedicated to foam partying as well as video cabins and a ‘dark labyrinth’.

The club is predominantly set up for homosexual men and couples though they do have regular mixed nights and couple swapping events. You can find further details online about upcoming meetings.

Pricing varies by individual events but is around 100 CHF per couple for swinging nights.

Situated between Bern and Zurich and an hour south of Basel, the Kristall Grotte (Crystal Cave) has been a popular swinging venue in Switzerland since it opened its doors in 2001.

A classy lifestyle club run exclusively for straight couples, the venue is run by swingers for swingers and offers a classic experience of themed play zones including a jungle bar, Roman spa and a Stone Age room. However, the main inspiration behind the décor is clearly the concept of a crystal cave and there is something mysterious and charming about the atmosphere created inside this club.

As well as a sun-deck and pool, you can also find a massage room with waterbed, lounge, dance floor and sauna. There are also SM rooms, a smokers tent plus buffet and bar. Erotic movies and music are screened/piped throughout the club to keep a sexy atmosphere going at all times.

Hokus Pokus

The Slightly Different Swingers’ Club

swinging in switzerland hokus pokus

The website for Hokus Pokus is a little confusing and certainly ‘different’ if you don’t speak the language. Onsite translation tells us more about the club than we think we needed to know:

We are not looking for the bouncing colon or planned actions, if we are looking for something, then at most the chocolate that was still in the cupboard yesterday.

Intriguing!

With a picturesque mountainside setting, Hokus Pokus is very much themed around a sexy, but spooky, witch’s house setting. It’s a homely kind of swingers club that is very much in the tradition of a private residence offered for guests to enjoy…as long as you like the atmosphere in your clubs slightly ‘wicca’. Yes, the couple who have put this club together certainly enjoy their witching theme and not everyone will feel comfortable coming here for their initiations. This shouldn’t be an issue as the club have a good reputation for being extremely friendly and offering a warm welcome to new guests.

There are actually some decent facilities for a small venue and you can find some BDSM furniture, massage tables, well equipped private rooms plus large open play spaces over its three floors. It is, however, situated in a residential area so privacy could be an issue.

Themed rooms include:

  • The Mirror Room
  • The Alpine Room
  • The Arabian Nights Room
  • The Caribbean Room
  • The Blue Lagoon
  • The Domina’s Home
  • The Dark Room
  • The African Room
  • A BDSM Room
  • Sauna
  • TV Room

The club is open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7.00pm to 2.00am with admission charges being as follows:

  • Single ladies – Free
  • Single gents – CHF 69
  • Couples – CHF 65

Swinging in Switzerland: Additional Resources

Visitors to Switzerland who are interested in the Swiss swinging communities might be interested in visiting these additional sites and groups to find out further information for details of regular meetings near them or upcoming events.

Some of these sites offer good social networking opportunities and can provide you with a starting point to meet other swingers in the local area.

FKK Clubs

Prostitution is legal in Switzerland and has been regulated by the Government since 1942. As a result, you can find FKK clubs across the country which operate in a similar way to brothels in other European cities. Though couples and singles are welcome to attend, many of these venues are used more predominantly by single men (and women) who pay sex workers. They are a great place to visit if you are intrigued by commercial sex work and offer a nice alternative to a swinging club for an erotic day or night out.

The entrance fee to these clubs usually covers the use of all facilities plus some extras though sex is charged on top.

Swinging Communities and Groups

If you can’t access one of the clubs listed above or prefer to arrange a more intimate swinging experience then you can use one of the following sites to connect with local swingers as well as other visitors to the country.

Hot Staff

www.hotstaff.ch

A couple in their fifties, Hot Staff organise the occasional events and parties in their area of Switzerland, Langenthal. If you are local to them then it is worth making contact.

BDSM Clubs

Switzerland has a lot of BDSM dungeons, studios and clubs. For those swingers who want to explore their fetishes, some offer couples nights and gangbangs. The following venues all, reportedly, have events that are more ‘open-house’.
