Swinging in Switzerland: Best Clubs and Meetups

Updated on:

Curious about the swinging scene in Switzerland?

Switzerland is known for its political stability, banks, cheese, and chocolate, but there’s more to this Alpine nation than scenic lakes and ski resorts. While libertinism might not be the first thing that comes to mind, swinging is surprisingly popular—both as a local pastime and a draw for adventurous tourists. The country boasts a thriving network of large libertine clubs, offering plenty of opportunities for couples exploring partner-swapping in a welcoming environment.

This guide breaks down the best swinging venues in Switzerland, from saunas and spas to nightclubs and bars. Plus, we’ll highlight key resources for those interested in FKK clubs, BDSM venues, and swinging communities to help you connect before and after your Swiss libertine experience.

Best Swingers Clubs in Switzerland

Switzerland’s adult industry has dozens of clubs catering to swingers, with many offering couples-only nights. We’ve handpicked the best, detailing their facilities, events, pricing, and opening hours.

All prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and reflect rates at the time of our reviews (but may have changed, so please check!).

While most clubs have English-speaking staff, French and German are the dominant languages in Switzerland. A basic understanding of either can make your night go more smoothly.

Bains De L’Est

“The Most Famous International Sex Spa

swinging in switzerland bains de l'est

Located in downtown Geneva, Bains De L’Est has been in operation since 1999 and offers a very professional and modern setting for swingers in Switzerland.

Like many European libertine spas, the Bains De L’Est is run like a wellness centre and offers a range of leisure facilities in addition to group and private play areas. This particular venue has the largest Jacuzzi in the country for a swingers club, as well as steam rooms, ice showers and a sauna.

As for the play zones, you can expect to find open, closed and peephole cabins, gloryholes and slings, a bar, TV saloon lounge and smoking room. There is also a room dedicated to foam partying, video cabins, and a ‘dark labyrinth’.

The club is predominantly set up for homosexual men and couples, though they do have regular mixed nights and couple-swapping events. You can find further details about upcoming meetings online.

Pricing varies by individual events but is around 100 CHF per couple for swinging nights.

Kristall Grotte

Grabenackerstrasse 9, Industrie Süd, CH-4702 Oensingen

“1st and only world of experiences exclusively for couples!”

swinging in switzerland kristal grotte the crystal cave

Situated between Bern and Zurich and an hour south of Basel, the Kristall Grotte (Crystal Cave) has been a popular swinging venue in Switzerland since it opened its doors in 2001.

A classy lifestyle club run exclusively for straight couples, the venue is run by swingers for swingers and offers a classic experience of themed play zones, including a jungle bar, Roman spa and Stone Age room. However, the main inspiration behind the décor is clearly the concept of a crystal cave, and there is something mysterious and charming about the atmosphere created inside this club.

In addition to a sundeck and pool, there is a massage room with a waterbed, lounge, dance floor and sauna. There are also SM rooms, a smoker’s tent, a buffet and a bar. Erotic movies and music are screened/piped throughout the club to keep a sexy atmosphere going at all times.

It’s a good club with a loyal local and international following. It runs some great regular events and frequent themed evenings.

Single ladies are welcome to join the activities, and entrance is offered at a discounted rate. Depending on the night, this can be as low as 49 CHF.

Orangerie

Wilerstrasse 55, CH 9545 Rosental/Wängi

swinging in switzerland the orangerie

Situated an hour east of Zurich, the Orangerie is a premium adults’ club offering swinging events and is the largest libertine club in Switzerland.

The premises are based in an old weaving mill dating from the late 19th century. It offers a range of accommodation over three floors, covering a total floor space of 2,400 sq m.

It’s a huge place, and their larger events take advantage of this by attracting well over a hundred guests who are all open to sharing their intimate experiences with other guests.

The club has a reputation for its ambiance and offers plenty of well-decorated and maintained spaces that bring out the fantasy in your evenings. It is also known for its gastronomy and has an a la carte restaurant that serves some fine food.

Expect an exotic and erotic night with relaxation rooms, cosy fires, saunas and a smoker’s area that serves its purpose with flair.

The outside space offers some secluded and picturesque garden spots and fine evenings with a mild temperature can offer some al fresco fun.

Upstairs, there is a large group area, but the best rooms are the smaller ones, which offer an assortment of delicious treats.

Overall, it’s a five-star club with a fabulously well-appointed bar and restaurant and a relaxing atmosphere. So relaxing in fact that you can be forgiven for thinking you have stumbled into a retreat rather than a swingers club…until you hit the play zones.

Entry prices are charged as follows:

  • 58 CHF for single males
  • 25 CHF for single females

Hokus Pokus

The Slightly Different Swingers’ Club

swinging in switzerland hokus pokus

The website for Hokus Pokus is a little confusing and certainly ‘different’ if you don’t speak the language. Onsite translation tells us more about the club than we think we needed to know:

We are not looking for the bouncing colon or planned actions, if we are looking for something, then at most the chocolate that was still in the cupboard yesterday.

Intriguing!

With a picturesque mountainside setting, Hokus Pokus is themed around a sexy but spooky witch’s house setting. It’s a homely kind of swingers club that is very much in the tradition of a private residence offered for guests to enjoy…as long as you like the atmosphere in your clubs slightly ‘Wicca’.

Yes, the couple who have put this club together certainly enjoy their witching theme and not everyone will feel comfortable coming here for their initiations. This shouldn’t be an issue as the club has a good reputation for being extremely friendly and offering a warm welcome to new guests.

There are actually some decent facilities for a small venue. Over its three floors, you can find some BDSM furniture, massage tables, well-equipped private rooms, and large open play spaces. However, it is situated in a residential area, so privacy could be an issue.

Themed rooms include:

  • The Mirror Room
  • The Alpine Room
  • The Arabian Nights Room
  • The Caribbean Room
  • The Blue Lagoon
  • The Domina’s Home
  • The Dark Room
  • The African Room
  • A BDSM Room
  • Sauna
  • TV Room

The club is open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7.00pm to 2.00am with admission charges being as follows:

  • Single ladies – Free
  • Single gents – CHF 69
  • Couples – CHF 65

Additional Resources on Swinging in Switzerland

FKK Clubs

Prostitution is legal in Switzerland and has been regulated by the Government since 1942.

As a result, you can find FKK clubs across the country that operate similarly to brothels in other European cities (and like the mega German FKK clubs).

Though couples and singles are welcome to attend, many of these venues are used more predominantly by single men (and women) who pay sex workers.

They are a great place to visit if you are intrigued by commercial sex work and offer a nice alternative to a swinging club for an erotic day or night out.

These clubs offer more of a brothel experience, but swinging is welcome.

The entrance fee to these clubs usually covers the use of all facilities plus some extras, though sex is charged on top.

Swinging Communities and Groups

If you can’t access one of the clubs listed above or prefer to arrange a more intimate swinging experience, you can use one of the following sites to connect with local swingers and other visitors to the country.

BDSM Clubs

Switzerland has a lot of BDSM dungeons, studios and clubs. For those swingers who want to explore their fetishes, some offer couples nights and gangbangs. The following venues all, reportedly, have events that are more ‘open-house’.
