Prostitution Laws in Porto
Prostitution in Portugal is legal as long as no-one but the sex worker profits from the arrangements. Accordingly, running a brothel, pimping and prostitution rings are illegal. In Porto, the most common ways for hookers to earn a living is via clubs, bars and on the streets as well as online. Escort services are also popular as well as private house in-calls.
Current estimates of the number of prostitutes in the country vary but it the figure is reckoned to be around 30,000, of which about half are thought to be foreign nationals. In Porto, there are probably around 800-1000 sex workers, most of whom are Portuguese as well as some other Europeans. However, there are quite a few South American prostitutes working in the city.
The average price of sex in Porto varies with street hookers charging between €20 and €50 for a quick service (less for oral), €100 an hour for an in-call or €150 per hour for an outcall escort. Of course, there are plenty of “premium” options.

Sauna Clubs

Just ten minutes taxi-ride away from downtown, it is a popular spot for Porto’s nightlife. There is even a restaurant, two bars and can accommodate up to 500 guests.
The dancers rotate across both venues to ensure good diversity and they have a good reputation for being upbeat and interactive.
The downtown club is open Tuesday to Sunday between 11.00pm and 6.00am with the original club being open as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 10.30pm to 4.00am
- Friday and Saturday: 10.30pm to 5.00am
The Lingerie Restaurant
