Looking for a sauna club in Portugal that offers the best of both worlds?
A club, sauna, bar and spa all in one, SaunApolo56 is one of Lisbon’s hottest swinger’s venues. It’s a mixed club and is welcoming of straight couples and singles as well as being a premier LGBTQ sauna. It is the first such liberal club in Portugal and is Lisbon’s only LGBTQ swinger’s bar. As such, the place is very popular with the local libertines (gay and straight alike) as well as attracting plenty of international visitors who are keen to experience high quality, modern swinging with a wholly open-minded approach.
In this review, we take a closer look at this unique club and find out more about why they believe they offer a truly luxurious and unforgettable experience.
What is SaunApolo 56?
Unlike many swinger’s sauna clubs, the SaunApolo56 is primarily an LGBTQ venue that is known for being hetero-friendly as opposed to being a straight club that welcomes gay, bisexual and trans guests.
The club was opened in February 2011 as the unique vision of owner Kiki Pais De Sousa; a TG woman who wanted to create a space where she felt comfortable and that would welcome guests regardless of age, sexuality and gender. What she has created is an inclusive sauna club that celebrates diversity, creates an atmosphere of genuine warmth and fosters the curiosity that fuels more sensual experiences.
The design of the club is modern and all of the spaces are well maintained for comfort, hygiene and (where necessary) privacy.
Facilities at the club include a sauna, Turkish bath, spas with lockers and showers plus an erotic cinema room, gloryholes, dark room and sex swing.
The club also has a central lounge and bar area with ambient music and full AC. There are also several private rooms, some of which are themed, for couples and curious singles to linger together undisturbed.
Drinks and food are served on site but there is no space available for customers who smoke.
There are three cabins for couples each totally soundproofed and with a discreet interior lock, complete with an XL bed.
It’s not the largest club in the world but it does offer space for up to 56 people and covers a total area of around 330 sq. m. The venue is available for private hire and is an ideal space for special occasions or swinger club meetings, stag and hen parties or even kink themed parties. The host can also organise entertainment which includes striptease sessions, fetish experiences and photography.
Massage at SaunApolo56
Massage therapy at SaunApolo56 is administered by male, female and trans practitioners. There are two massage rooms available each equipped with AC, hot tub, lounge area and a reclining massage table plus TV and/or sound system. Treatments vary from relaxing massages to full body slides with or without accessories! Prices for a 60-minutes session are available on request but are around the €60 mark and can even be arranged on an outcall basis.
Special Events
The club runs some special parties and events from time to time which coincide with holidays and occasions such as Valentines Day, Halloween and New Year. Their anniversary falls in February and they often run some special promotions at this time to celebrate their birthday. It is recommended that you check the website for details as entrance during on these days may be restricted to ticket only.
Domination & Submission
The venue lends itself quite nicely for BDSM hire and there is a cabin with bondage swing and one with gloryholes. The host does organise themed days when fetish and kinks are catered for. See website for details.

Reviews of SaunApolo56
The sauna club is well respected by locals and international visitors and has achieved some excellent testimonials and reviews across sites like Google Reviews, Facebook Reviews and various Swinger Club directories. Recurring comments include the club’s luxurious and modern décor and facilities, clean and hygienic spaces as well as the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The latter is attributed almost solely to the owner, Kiki Pais De Sousa who (it seems) is well respected by her regulars.
