Prostitution in Portugal is legal, though third-party profiteering is not; this means that (legal) brothels aren’t available in Lisbon.
It is estimated that around 30,000 prostitutes operate in Portugal, with at least 5000 of these being in the capital. Many work as escorts or offer other services via legitimate establishments such as massage parlours and strip clubs. Though these venues explicitly state that sexual services aren’t provided, they can be procured on occasion.

Rates for sex in Lisbon vary depending on where you procure services and the kind of women you pick up. Escorts start at around €150 (some charge less, particularly those from the classifieds), whereas street prostitutes can be paid anything from €30 for oral and up to €80 for full service. Premium services are more expensive, and you can budget anything from €300 upwards for an hour with an elite model.

Brothels
Brothels are not legal in Portugal, though there are often illegal and temporary brothels set up in rented apartments.
These are often advertised via the free classifieds with single escorts offering incall services; however, when you arrive at the address, you will find different girls working than the one you initially contacted.
It is important to remember that these venues are not operating legally and can sometimes be in breach of other laws, including the lease of the property. AirBnB guesthouses are frequently hit with this kind of setup.

Heaven Can Wait
Sintra District, Lisbon
A private members club, Heaven Can Wait is a couples and singles swinging club that offers a programme of entertainment that includes burlesque shows and strip performances.
The live shows and DJ give the venue more of a nightclub feel than a swinging club. Facilities are split over several floors to offer a huge variety of spaces to explore.
The club has a large lounge and several play areas as well as jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, bar and massage services. On the first floor you can find the clubs many gloryholes and the dance floor.
The club is open as follows:
- Naughty Wednesdays: 11.00pm to 4.00am
- Erotic Fridays: 11.00pm to 5.00am
- Sensual Saturdays: 11.00pm to 6.00am

X Clube
Another exclusive swinging club, you will need to contact the organisers to gain entry to any events. However, their website does not indicate whether they are currently hosting events.
Founded in 2006, the club was revamped in 2013 to incorporate a larger lounge space and a more advanced disco/nightclub area.
There are some great modern facilities here, and the club has an upmarket appeal that may differ from that of some private swinging clubs in other areas of Europe; expect the place to feel more like a gentlemen’s club than a private house.
The club is open for couples and singles but check with the management on their opening schedule.
Erotic Massage Parlour
Massage in Lisbon is easy to get, and though the services of the masseur exclude any sexual offerings, most of the treatments available include generous amounts of time on the genitals to guarantee happy endings.
We know that some masseurs offer additional services once the doors are closed, but this is hit-and-miss and not approved by the individual establishments. So, while you can get full service with a massage, there are no guarantees.
You can expect a sensual rub and tug where a parlour provides lingam (or phallus) massage.

The club has a large bar and main stage where dancers perform fully nude including a range of shows like the popular fire breathing act and the lesbian duo.
A separate restaurant also features strip acts where you can dine and be entertained by topless models. You can get a dinner for two with striptease and a couples massage for a great price of €120.
Passarelle is a popular city venue open Monday to Saturday from 9.00pm to 5.00am.
Diva Show Bar

The Diva Show bar is an intimate (read ‘small’) strip venue a short walk from the city’s Hospital Miguel Bombarda.
You can get champagne here as well as wines, beers and spirits but it is the strip shows that you’ll stay for. As an up-close venue you get quite personal with the dancers and for the most part you won’t be disappointed with this.
The place has a regular local following but you can find the occasional tourists here too.

San Payo Club

A modern club close to the Health Museum, the San Payo is a gentleman’s club offering non-stop strip entertainment.
The atmosphere is upbeat and the music and light show keeps the dancers lively. Bar prices are reasonable for the city and reviews for the club suggest that staff are friendly.
The club is open from Monday to Saturday between 10.00pm to 5.00am.
Photus Strip Club

Originally opening in 1999, the Photus Strip Club has some great shows, making it a popular spot for tourists and business travellers. Many locals also enjoy the entertainment.
It’s a modern nightclub-style venue, and it can get pretty loud at the weekend, especially if there is a bachelor party in.
The club is open from Monday to Saturday between 11.00pm and 5.00am.
Body Club

The Body Club is a sophisticated and stylish gentleman’s club with a large bar, main stage and two stripper poles providing non-stop entertainment. There are also private areas to enjoy a more one-to-one experience with the dancers.
There is the option of private contact here, which includes up-close and personal lap dances.
The club combines industrial chic with burlesque glamour, and it’s popular with locals and visitors alike. Prices are on the high side, but the quality of the dancers should make up for the difference in your wallet.

Maison Rouge Strip

The Maison Rouge Strip club, rather unsurprisingly, has a burlesque theme to it which generates a good deal of interest from the tourist trade rather than locals.
They do good business with bachelor parties and entertain with a combination of pastiche strip tease and dance.
The club is relatively new to the capital but initial reviews are good.

Impossivel Gentleman’s Club

The Impossivel Gentleman’s Club is situated about 30 minutes west of Lisbon. Though a schlep out of the city, the coastal town of Cascais is a pleasant alternative to the city and should give you a different experience of this area of Portugal.
The club has been open for over 25 years and has plenty of dancers and hostesses providing night long entertainment. It’s not the most modern of venues but it has got a really friendly and laidback feel.
The club is open seven days a week from 10.30pm to 4.30am.
Rolls Strip Club

Whilst you are in Cascais, you should also check out the Rolls Strip Club; a bar and disco that seats 60 and has regular performers throughout the night.
The club is open daily from 11.00pm to 5.00am.
Sex Saunas

Situated across the Tagus estuary, about 30 minutes drive from the city, you can find the Club Sauna Paradise.
The venue is a naturist dream and is open to all sexualities, ages and backgrounds. A little like a swingers club, the sauna costs around €10 for entrance and features a sauna, jacuzzi and play areas.
Regular events are held at the sauna with popular features being the Sunday Matinee Swing, Saturday afternoon cuckolding and orgy day.

Street prostitution in Lisbon isn’t common, but you can find most hookers in the city working around the Praca de Figueira landmark.
On a weekend, dozens of women are on the make here, and they aren’t hard to spot. The selection isn’t great, but customers can get a pick up for around €50, some even have apartments in the city but room charges apply.
